The history

The Valgroup Machinery unit was created to develop solutions that boost the efficiency of its customers' operations, combining technology, engineering and technical knowledge to transform packaging processes.

This journey began in 1995, in Lorena – State of São Paulo, at the then-called Halmec. Back then, the stretch film was already part of Valgroup's portfolio, but its application was still largely performed manually. The few pieces of equipment available on the market did not fully leverage the material's potential, leading to waste, reduced productivity, and compromised palletization efficiency.

INVESTMENT
IN TECHNOLOGY

The Machinery unit was created to solve this challenge. Initially, the focus was on developing solutions for customers seeking to replace manual processes with automated operations, increasing productivity and reducing losses.

As the operation evolved, the unit's engineering team expanded its development capabilities, creating increasingly robust and technologically advanced equipment. This process enabled the unit to broaden its scope, servicing large customers and more complex industrial projects.

Expansion
Geographic

One of the main milestones in this journey occurred in 2022, when Halmec officially became part of the Valgroup brand. More than a change in identity, this move represented a new way to operate in the market.

From that moment on, the unit moved from offering equipment to developing complete solutions, integrating machinery, packaging, and technical knowledge for each application. This integration became one of the operation's key differentiators, allowing the company to deliver customized projects that generate greater efficiency, productivity, and value for customers.

Operations
distributed

This new positioning drove the unit's growth and expanded its capacity to develop solutions that reduce material consumption, increase operational productivity, and contribute to lighter and more sustainable packaging.

The Machinery unit has consolidated itself as a strategic partner for its customers, developing technologies that combine automation, performance, and efficiency to meet the demands of an ever-evolving market.

LOOKING at
THE FUTURE

This journey is part of an evolution built on continuous innovation, strengthening engineering expertise, and an ongoing commitment to transforming challenges into opportunities, developing increasingly comprehensive solutions to grow alongside its customers and contribute to the future of the packaging industry.
